Overview

  • Exports rose 13% in 2024 to nearly $15 billion, driven largely by sales of missiles, rockets and air-defence systems.
  • Over half of those exports went to European militaries, up from 36% in 2023 as countries shore up defences in response to Washington’s pivot toward the Indo-Pacific.
  • Missile, rocket and air-defence technologies comprised 48% of total exports, while 57% of contracts exceeded $100 million.
  • Since the Gaza war’s outbreak in October 2023, Israel’s defence sector has operated round-the-clock in emergency mode to meet both domestic and foreign orders.
  • Some European governments have moved to review or cancel Israeli arms deals over Gaza war conduct.
