Overview

  • The Israel Defense Forces report destroying one-third of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile launchers and achieving air superiority over Tehran after four days of strikes on nuclear and military sites.
  • Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched waves of missiles and drones at Tel Aviv, Haifa and Petah Tikva using a new tactic to confuse Israel’s air defenses, killing at least eight civilians and wounding more than 100.
  • Iran’s health ministry says 224 people have died, mostly civilians, while Israeli officials cite 24 fatalities and over 400 injuries, with significant damage to Iran’s above-ground nuclear conversion facility but no rise in off-site radiation at Natanz.
  • The International Atomic Energy Agency warns that nuclear safety is compromised as Iran drafts legislation to exit the Non-Proliferation Treaty and curtails agency access to certain sites.
  • As Iran’s currency drops more than 10% and oil prices remain volatile, President Trump and G7 leaders are pressing both sides to de-escalate and adopt a ceasefire.
