Overview
- On July 9, troops from the IDF’s 9th Brigade in Labbouneh and the 300th Brigade in Jabal Blat crossed into southern Lebanon for precision raids.
- Soldiers uncovered and destroyed weapons compounds that housed multi-barrel launchers, heavy machine guns, explosive devices and underground storage galleries.
- The military said the operations aimed to thwart Hezbollah’s efforts to re-establish its presence south of the Litani River despite the November 2024 truce.
- The IDF reported that Mohammad Khader Al-Husseini, commander of Hezbollah’s firepower array in the Litani sector, was killed during the raids.
