Overview

  • The IDF will halt operations daily from 10am to 8pm in Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City to provide safe windows for aid deliveries.
  • The pauses coincide with resumed aerial drops of seven pallets of flour, sugar and canned food and the reconnection of power to a Gaza desalination plant to boost water output.
  • Israel insists there is no deliberate starvation and accuses Hamas of diverting supplies, while USAID reports no evidence of systematic aid theft by militants.
  • UN agencies and Gaza’s health ministry report widespread malnutrition, noting one in three residents have gone without food, 90,000 women and children require treatment and 133 hunger-related fatalities including six in the past day.
  • Ceasefire negotiations between Israel, the United States and Hamas collapsed last week, leaving long-term humanitarian access dependent on a lasting truce.
