Ferwana and his brother operated a money exchange company, 'Hamsat', which was used to funnel funds to Hamas' military wing during the war.
The funds transferred by Ferwana were used for intensifying military forces, paying terrorists' salaries during the war, and financing Hamas' war activities.
Without financiers like Ferwana, Hamas' capabilities are consequently diminished, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Israeli forces continue their offensive in Gaza, with recent airstrikes in the southern part of the country reportedly killing at least 28 Palestinians.
