Islamist TikTok Influencer Arrested for Alleged Donation Fraud

The influencer, known for extremist content, is accused of embezzling over €350,000 meant for charitable causes.

The 33-year-old influencer, known as 'Abdelhamid', was arrested in Düsseldorf on charges of organized fraud.
He allegedly collected over €353,000 through 19 donation appeals but only forwarded about €5,000 to the intended causes.
Authorities discovered luxury items, including Rolex watches and a limousine, believed to be purchased with the misappropriated funds.
Investigators have been monitoring the influencer since 2021 due to concerns about his extremist Salafist content.
His partner and sister are also under investigation, and he is currently in custody due to flight risk concerns.
