Overview
- Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is representing Pakistan at the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Moscow on November 17–18 at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
- He will outline Pakistan’s views on regional and global issues and present ideas to strengthen cooperation within the organisation.
- Participants include heads of government from Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, along with Iran’s vice president and the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India.
- Dar is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from other SCO countries to discuss economic, trade and connectivity priorities.
- The CHG directs the SCO’s work on economy, trade, connectivity and budget matters, and Pakistan is slated to host the next SCO summit.
