Overview

• It features roughly 50 collages made mostly between 2021 and 2024 using digital techniques, canvas, paper, foam board and táblex.
• Curated by Estrella de Diego for PhotoEspaña 2025, the exhibition opened in Madrid’s Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and will be on view through September 14, 2025.
• Coixet started creating collages without defined themes about 15 years ago, turning away from photography after feeling overwhelmed by social media’s “photo overdose.”
• The pieces often marry images from magazines, photobooks and flea-market photographs with handwritten or typed captions that convey irony and narrative depth rooted in her filmmaking background.
