Overview
- The theft occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 at the Whole Foods on Irvine Center Drive.
- The suspect appeared to shop normally, then hid the caviar in a paper Whole Foods bag he brought, abandoned his basket, and walked out without paying.
- Staff discovered the loss when the caviar section was found empty, and video showed tins priced roughly $99 to $170 being taken.
- Police described the man as bald with facial hair and dressed in black, joking in a “Wanted Wednesday” post that he resembles a less attractive Jason Statham.
