IRS agent fatally shot during training at Phoenix gun range

An IRS agent was shot and killed during a training exercise at a gun range in Phoenix.
The shooting took place at a firing range operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and used by multiple agencies.
The agent was transported to a hospital but died shortly after arriving.
No other injuries were reported from the incident.
The FBI is leading the investigation into the fatal shooting and will provide results to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
