- New firmware adds Matter to Roomba Plus 500 Combo, Roomba Max 700 Vac, and Roomba Max 700 Combo, joining the previously supported Roomba Combo 10 Max.
- On iOS 18.4 or later with an Apple TV or HomePod as a Home hub, users can add supported Roombas to the Home app and control them with Siri.
- The Home app offers core functions such as starting cleaning, scheduling, and room or area cleaning, while advanced features still require iRobot’s app.
- Roombas with Matter can participate in HomeKit automations, enabling triggers by presence, time, sensors, or accessory activity.
- Supported Roombas can also be added to Samsung SmartThings via Matter with a compatible Matter hub, though Combo J7 and J9 models remain without Matter support.
