Iris Hsieh’s Death Reclassified as Murder as Kuala Lumpur Police Say They Can’t Find Namewee

Investigators plan to summon the last person seen with her, with post-mortem and toxicology findings still outstanding.

  • Separately, Namewee was charged on Oct. 24 with drug possession and drug use after nine blue pills were seized and an initial urine screen tested positive; he pleaded not guilty, was granted bail, and the case is set for mention on Dec. 18.
  • The cause of death remains undetermined pending forensic reports, as investigators review CCTV and statements from hotel staff and security at the Jalan Conlay property.
