Overview
- The Garda National Immigration Bureau led a charter removal from Dublin on Monday night that arrived in Tbilisi at 2:30am Irish time.
- Gardaí said the group comprised 35 men, 10 women and seven children, with all individuals travelling as family units.
- This was the sixth charter operation this year, bringing charter removals to 205, with a further 146 people removed on commercial flights so far in 2025.
- Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan said deportations will continue and reported that more than 3,870 deportation orders have been signed this year.
- Those on the flight were accompanied by gardaí, medical staff, an interpreter and a human rights observer, according to reports.
