Iran Installs Half of Planned New Centrifuges at Fordow

Iran has installed four of the eight advanced IR-6 centrifuge clusters at its Fordow uranium-enrichment plant.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verified the installation in a confidential report to member states.
Iran informed the IAEA of its plans to expand enrichment capacity earlier this month.
The U.S. has imposed new sanctions on Iran in response to its nuclear program expansion.
Iran has not yet specified when it will begin using the new centrifuges for uranium enrichment.
