• IPN confirmed the death of José Gabriel Hernández Méndez, a CECyT 7 student, who had been treated at the Rubén Leñero hospital.
• José Gabriel is the third member of the CECyT 7 community to die, following student Juan Carlos Sánchez Blas and artist and librarian Jorge Islas Flores.
• The Mexico City Health Secretariat’s latest update lists 13 fatalities, roughly 40 people still hospitalized, and about 30 discharged.
• Authorities say a tanker carrying about 49,500 liters of liquefied petroleum gas overturned and exploded at the La Concordia interchange on Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza in Iztapalapa on Sept. 10.
• Identified victims include students and education workers from multiple institutions, among them UNAM student Ana Daniela Barragán and teacher Eduardo Noé García Morales.
