iPhone 17 Pro Rumored to Feature 12GB of RAM in Major Upgrade

Analysts suggest the iPhone 17 Pro models will see increased memory, enabling advanced AI capabilities and improved multitasking.

Jeff Pu and Ming-Chi Kuo, respected analysts, predict the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up from 8GB in the iPhone 16 lineup.
The increased RAM is expected to enhance Apple Intelligence features and overall device performance, providing more future-proofing for users.
This upgrade could contribute to a 3.5% year-over-year increase in smartphone DRAM content across an estimated 100 million iPhone units.
The iPhone 17 Pro models are also rumored to include a redesigned rectangular camera bar, aluminum frames, and an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip.
Apple's next-generation iPhone lineup, including the iPhone 17 Pro, is anticipated to be announced in mid-September 2025.
