IPEF Partners Conclude Negotiations on Clean Economy, Fair Economy, and Framework Agreements

• The 14 Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) partner nations have announced the conclusion of negotiations for the IPEF Clean Economy Agreement, IPEF Fair Economy Agreement, and the Agreement on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity.
• The IPEF Clean Economy Agreement aims to accelerate the transition to net-zero emission economies, covering issues such as energy security, climate resilience, greenhouse gas emissions mitigation, and sustainable livelihoods.
• The IPEF Fair Economy Agreement focuses on enhancing fairness, transparency, the rule of law, and accountability in the economies of the IPEF partners, with measures to prevent and combat corruption and improve tax transparency.
• The Agreement on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity seeks to establish a ministerial-level council and commission to formalize and ensure ongoing cooperation among the IPEF partners.
• The IPEF partners have also signed the IPEF Supply Chain Agreement, which aims to strengthen supply chain resilience across the Indo-Pacific region.
