IPD Launches Free Youth Sports in Lima, Opens New Afternoon Registration Monday

The 2026 initiative widens access for 6–17-year-olds through added venues, 26 sports, plus first-time free swimming.

New afternoon-shift registration opens Monday, January 12, via an IPD online link for Videna, Canto Grande, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa María del Triunfo, and Villa El Salvador, with classes beginning January 19.
The program began on January 9 across multiple Lima sites with more than 4,000 participants between ages 6 and 17.
IPD offers 26 disciplines, including paradeportes, at no cost and projects surpassing 120,000 enrollees nationwide during 2026.
Two Lima complexes are being added to the network—Andrés Avelino Cáceres in Villa María del Triunfo and Costa Verde in San Miguel—while the Punta Rocas venue nears readiness.
Free swimming starts at Videna, and the Villa María del Triunfo pool is slated to reopen in February with over 400 additional places, as regional openings begin in La Libertad on January 10 with more regions following from January 15.
