Organisers confirmed a Times Group-backed Indian Pickleball League in Delhi next month, signaling a shift from grassroots play to a professional calendar.

Overview

  • The four-day championship has drawn about 1,500 players from 20 states across 43 categories, competing for a ₹11 lakh prize pool.
  • The Karnataka Pickleball Association converted seven tennis courts into 17 pickleball courts and operated airport–rail–metro shuttles that moved roughly 600 people on day one.
  • Early titles are settled, with West Bengal edging Rajasthan 2-1 in the Men’s Open Team final on a 21-20 decider, Maharashtra taking the U16 girls’ crown, and Telangana securing the 40+ men’s title.
  • Karnataka added the 40+ women’s team championship and the Women’s 30+ doubles, while Assam captured the U16 women’s doubles.
  • This is the first Nationals since Sports Ministry recognition of the IPA, and the newly announced Indian Pickleball League will run December 1–7 in Delhi with IPA-sanctioned teams featuring Indian and international players.
