• Iowa State said Lipsey sustained a Grade 2 sprain of the MCL in his right knee during Tuesday’s practice.
• The program set a 4–6 week timeline for his return based on initial evaluations.

• A six-week recovery would also rule him out for the Oct. 26 exhibition against Northwestern and the Nov. 3 home opener versus Fairleigh Dickinson.
