Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara's return from leg injury still uncertain as season opener approaches

McNamara has missed 11 consecutive days of practice due to a leg injury.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said McNamara may return by the end of the week.
If cleared, McNamara would have enough time to prepare for season opener against Utah State on September 2.
McNamara's backup is also injured, leaving third-string QB Deacon Hill as the only healthy quarterback.
McNamara led Michigan to its first College Football Playoff appearance last season before transferring to Iowa.
