Iowa QB Brendan Sullivan Set to Start Music City Bowl After Ankle Injury

Coach Kirk Ferentz confirms Sullivan's recovery and return to lead Iowa against Missouri on December 30.

Brendan Sullivan, Iowa's quarterback, will start in the Music City Bowl after recovering from a sprained ankle sustained in November.
Sullivan missed Iowa's final two regular-season games, during which walk-on Jackson Stratton led the team to victories over Maryland and Nebraska.
Cade McNamara, Iowa's starting quarterback at the beginning of the season, has entered the transfer portal, leaving Sullivan as the primary starter for the bowl game.
Sullivan has recorded 344 passing yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, 144 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns this season.
Coach Ferentz also noted that Auburn transfer Hank Brown and incoming recruit Jimmy Sullivan will join the team for spring competition but will not play in the bowl game.
