Iowa Parents Arrested After Child Found Covered in Filth Outside Home

Authorities discovered makeshift cages and charged the couple with neglect and child endangerment.

A 4-year-old with developmental disabilities was found alone and covered in human and animal feces.
The child allegedly escaped from a makeshift cage constructed from a crib, baby gate, and zip ties.
Parents Dustin Perry and Lindsey Hamilton instructed relatives to keep the child in the cage.
Police found another child inside the home and additional makeshift cages in two locations.
The couple is being held without bond and may face further charges.
