Iowa Mother Killed, Father Critically Injured in Shooting by Daughter's Ex-Boyfriend

The tragic incident occurred as the couple helped their daughter move out of her ex-boyfriend's home in Des Moines.

Hamza Smajlovic, 24, has been charged with murder and attempted murder following the shooting.
Ruth Sue Ann Robison, 45, was pronounced dead at the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head.
Tony Ray Robison, 52, remains in critical condition after being shot in the same incident.
The shooting took place during a domestic dispute as the Robisons assisted their daughter in moving out.
Smajlovic is being held in Polk County Jail on a $750,000 cash bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 11.
