Iowa Man Convicted of Killing Wife, Flees Before Verdict, Caught After 20 Hours on the Run

Gregory Showalter Sr. was found guilty in absentia of murdering his wife.
He had been out on bail with an ankle monitor but removed it and disappeared before the verdict.
An arrest warrant was issued and police searched between his home and the courthouse.
After 20 hours, Showalter was found hiding in his home and taken back into custody.
He faces mandatory life in prison without parole at his sentencing on October 16, 2023.
