Iowa, Iowa State athletes charged with betting on sports and tampering with records amid gambling probe

Multiple current and former Iowa and Iowa State athletes have been criminally charged with tampering with records related to an investigation into illegal sports gambling.
Charges have been filed against seven athletes so far, including Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers and former Iowa basketball player Ahron Ulis.
The athletes are accused of disguising their identities and manipulating transactions to conceal sports bets they made before turning 21.
Dekkers allegedly placed over 360 bets totaling around $2,800 on sporting events, including 26 Iowa State contests.
Ulis allegedly used his brother's identity to place over 1,850 bets totaling over $34,000, including on Iowa games.
