• Smart Display Zoom in the iOS 26 developer beta lets drivers shrink UI elements to fit an extra row of CarPlay app icons on varied dashboard displays.
• CarPlay in iOS 26 also gains compact incoming call banners, Tapbacks and pinned conversations in Messages, widget support and Live Activities on the dashboard.
• iOS 26 introduces a new Liquid Glass design across compatible devices to boost visual clarity with enhanced transparency.
• Several features powered by on-device Apple Intelligence will be exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro and newer models.
• The developer beta is available now, a public beta is scheduled for July and the final update will roll out in September for iPhone 11 and later.
