Overview
- The developer beta of iOS 26 introduces Adaptive Power mode on iPhone 15 Pro and newer, which uses subtle performance tweaks such as dimming the display to extend battery life under heavy load
- Adaptive Power can automatically enable Low Power Mode when the battery level drops below 20 percent to further conserve power
- iOS 26 displays estimated time remaining for a full charge directly on the Lock Screen for all compatible iPhones
- The Battery Usage menu has been revamped with hourly and daily graphs, historical comparisons and alerts for apps consuming more power than usual
- Apple plans to open the iOS 26 beta to more public testers next month before rolling out the full update to all users this fall
