iOS 18 Beta Introduces RCS Messaging for iPhone-Android Communication

Apple's latest update allows richer text interactions between iPhone and Android users, addressing long-standing interoperability issues.

RCS messaging in iOS 18 enables higher-quality media sharing and read receipts with Android devices.
The feature is currently available in the second developer beta and requires carrier support.
US carriers AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile have begun activating RCS for iPhones.
A public beta of iOS 18 is expected in July, with a full release in September.
RCS messages will still appear as green bubbles, unlike iMessages which are blue.
