Apple introduces a 0.50 EUR Core Technology Fee for apps distributed outside the App Store, but nonprofit organizations and government entities may be exempt.
Sideloading is restricted to iPhones and not available on iPads, with the ability limited to users within the European Union.
The move is in response to the EU's Digital Markets Act, aiming to provide users with more options and developers a way to avoid Apple's commissions.
