- The IOC delegation said it left Lyon “very reassured” after a three-day visit and formally approved the split of ice events across LDLC Arena, Halle Tony-Garnier and Eurexpo.
- LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu will host the main hockey finals, Halle Tony-Garnier will be the second hockey site, and Eurexpo in Chassieu will hold curling, short-track, figure skating, synchronised skating and Paralympic ice events plus the main media centre.
- Ski alpine venues were also confirmed with Courchevel chosen for speed events and Val d’Isère for technical races, using the Joseray run for women and the Face de Bellevarde for men.
