  • At a New Delhi ceremony, the IOA feted India’s Paris 2024 medal winners with Union sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya and IOA president PT Usha presenting cheques.
  • Prize money included ₹75 lakh for Neeraj Chopra, ₹87.5 lakh for Manu Bhaker, ₹37.5 lakh for Sarabjot Singh, ₹50 lakh each for Swapnil Kusale and Aman Sehrawat, and ₹10 lakh per main-squad player for the bronze-winning men’s hockey team with ₹5 lakh for reserves.
  • Coaches and support staff were rewarded as well, with ₹20 lakh for Klaus Bartonietz, ₹10 lakh for Jaspal Rana, ₹15 lakh for Deepali Deshpande, ₹20 lakh for Craig Fulton, and ₹15 lakh for Aman Sehrawat’s coach Ali Shabanov.
  • Mandaviya said the National Sports Governance Law will take effect within two months and urged federations to focus on athletes rather than internal politics.
  • Chopra, currently out of the country, did not attend; an Athletics Federation of India official collected his ₹75 lakh cheque, as PT Usha lauded the medallists’ achievements.
