• IO Interactive revealed the official name ‘007 First Light’ on June 2 after originally announcing the project as ‘Project 007’ in 2020.
• The game will tell a wholly original origin story in which a younger James Bond must earn his 00 status.
• IO Interactive will act as both developer and publisher following its 2017 separation from Square Enix.
• Amazon, now owner of MGM Studios and the Bond rights holder, is collaborating closely with IO Interactive on the project.
• A full reveal, including gameplay footage and a release timeframe, is expected later this week at Summer Game Fest.
