The new season expands the storyline to outer space and introduces a major alien threat while focusing on Mark's personal growth and his struggles with his father's betrayal.
The split release schedule for "Invincible" parallels other animated series like "Spy x Family" and "Attack on Titan", which have also adopted similar strategies, dividing their seasons into multiple parts due to complex animation requirements and effects of the pandemic.
The second season premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 3rd, 2023 and new episodes will be released weekly. Although the dates for the release of the remaining four episodes in 2024 is still unknown, audiences expect that season 2 will wrap up in the early part of the year.
