• Sergiy Fedchyk, 27, was arrested at the scene after deputies responded to the attempted rape report on Sunday evening at Dry Creek Park.
• The alleged victim is an adult who reported being attacked along the trail around 5:30 p.m.
• A patrol car and another vehicle collided at Baseline and Walerga roads during the response, leaving a deputy and the other driver with minor injuries; both are expected to recover.
• The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has set up an investigations tip line at 530-889-7830 for witnesses or additional victims to come forward.
