Investigators Cite Mistaken Identity as Four Arrested in Shooting of FSU’s Ethan Pritchard

A multi-agency probe advanced from coordinated search warrants to custody for all four suspects in the Havana ambush.

Overview

  • FDLE said Jayden Bodison, Caron Miller and a 16-year-old were each charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.
  • Germany Atkins was arrested on a probation-violation charge connected to the case, authorities said.
  • Agents executed search warrants in Havana and Woodville with support from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Havana Police Department; the juvenile surrendered hours later to Gadsden County authorities.
  • Officials said the attack appears to be a case of mistaken identity potentially linked to an Aug. 25 shooting at the same apartment complex.
  • Pritchard remains in critical but stable condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after being shot while dropping off an aunt and a child, and the Second Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office is preparing the prosecution.
