• Maurice Holiday died on July 27 while serving a 17-year sentence at HMP Northumberland for historic child rape and indecent assault convictions.

• Holiday was convicted in 2020 at Teesside Crown Court of three counts of rape and six counts of indecent assault for offences committed decades earlier.
