- More than a week ago, Flashy the mare in Wedel ingested a carrot bait containing a sewing needle that lodged in her tongue.
 - During the initial search, police and owner Ulrike Wehrspohn uncovered six additional carrot slices with concealed needles.
 - Flashy was sedated for surgery to remove the needle and has since recovered from the operation.
 - Elmshorn police report they have received no further incidents or investigative tips since the discovery.
