Intoxicated Passenger Steals Golf Cart and Damages Moving Walkways at Buffalo Airport

  • Kevin J. Sinning, 29, was arrested by Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police shortly before 1 a.m. on July 28 after seizing an unattended Prime Flight golf cart at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
  • He drove the golf cart onto the terminal’s moving walkways, shattering glass panels and bending metal railings before officers took him into custody at the walkway’s end.
  • Sinning, who appeared visibly intoxicated, is charged with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of stolen property over $3,000, criminal nuisance and third-degree grand larceny.
  • Although there were no reported injuries, the stunt caused significant damage to the cart, walkway infrastructure and glass partitions.
