Overview

• The collision unfolded at about 2:11 a.m. on June 15 at Coney Island Avenue and Avenue U when a Chevrolet Suburban struck a Volvo XC90 before careening into a marked NYPD cruiser.
• Both officers assigned to the 61st Precinct suffered fractures and head trauma and were hospitalized in stable condition.
