Interstellar Live Comes to The O2 With Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

The film will be screened while a 65-piece orchestra and original organist Roger Sayer perform Hans Zimmer’s score live to recreate the soundtrack on an arena scale.

Overview

  • Promoters Cutting Edge Group Presents and City Light Concerts announced two performances — a matinée and an evening show — at The O2 on 23 May 2027.
  • The shows will feature the 65-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Matt Dunkley with Roger Sayer playing the score’s prominent organ parts.
  • Organisers list detailed orchestration including strings, full woodwind and brass, percussion, two pianos, keyboards and harp to match Zimmer’s original recording textures.
  • Tickets are being sold through staged presales and a public on-sale with O2 Priority and venue/Ticketmaster presales starting 9–10 September 2026 and general sale on 11 September 2026.
  • The O2 staging follows earlier sold-out Interstellar Live runs such as the Royal Albert Hall and recent viral organ performances, which together drive high demand and raise the chance of quick sell-outs.
