Overview

• The program curated by András Siebold includes three world premieres and 13 German premieres across theatre, dance, visual art and pop.
• Venues have expanded beyond Kampnagel to sites such as the Volksdorf Museumsdorf, Stadtpark and Kunsthalle to invite audience participation.
• “Longing To Tell,” a collaborative blues opera by Akua Naru, Tyshawn Sorey, Anta Helena Recke and Ensemble Resonanz, will premiere Aug. 14–16.
• Interactive works by Christoph Marthaler, Nesterval and Miet Warlop immerse visitors in thematic installations exploring topics from societal retreat to personal identity.
• The 31-concert lineup spans genres and culminates in Rufus Wainwright’s “Dream Requiem” at the Elbphilharmonie with the Hamburg Symphoniker and narrator Isabelle Huppert.
