International Manhunt Underway for Husband in Harshita Brella Murder Case

Police suspect Harshita Brella, 24, was strangled by her husband before her body was found in a car boot in London; he is believed to have fled the country.

Harshita Brella's body was discovered in the boot of a car parked in Ilford, east London, on November 14, prompting a murder investigation.
Police believe she was killed on November 10 in Corby, Northamptonshire, and transported to London in a silver Vauxhall Corsa by her husband, Pankaj Lamba.
Lamba, 23, has been named the prime suspect and is the subject of an international manhunt as detectives suspect he has fled the country.
The preliminary cause of death has been identified as manual strangulation, with further test results pending; an inquest has been adjourned until May 2025.
Ms. Brella had previously reported domestic abuse and was under a Domestic Violence Protection Order; police have referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to prior contact with her.
