Overview

  • The 4th Congreso Internacional de Maíz runs August 27–28 at Rosario’s Salón Metropolitano with free entry by prior registration and limited capacity.
  • Sessions address crop diseases, yield gaps, climate impacts, new varieties and the chicharrita pest, plus markets, financing, biocombustibles, carbon footprint and value-added processing.
  • More than 120 experts participate, including Purdue’s Tony John Vyn, CIMMYT’s Carlos Muñoz Zavala and South Africa’s Heather Tredgold alongside leading Argentine researchers.
  • The Región Centro features prominently with confirmed attendance by governors Maximiliano Pullaro and Martín Llaryora and ministers Gustavo Puccini, Sergio Busso and Guillermo Bernaudo.
