International Human Smuggling Ring Dismantled in Major Operation

Authorities in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland collaborated to arrest four suspects involved in smuggling 71 people via the Balkan route.

Four suspects of Turkish nationality were arrested following coordinated raids in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
The operation involved around 120 law enforcement officers conducting searches in eight locations, including Bavarian cities.
Investigators accuse the suspects of smuggling at least 71 individuals into Italy, Austria, and Germany since October 2022.
The smuggling network used the Bozen area in South Tyrol as a transit point for migrants heading to Germany.
Authorities seized vehicles, smartphones, and approximately 23,000 euros in cash as part of the evidence collection.
