Intel's Rumored Core i9-14900KS CPU Expected to Exceed 6GHz

Intel's rumored Core i9-14900KS CPU, expected to be the first factory-spec CPU to exceed 6GHz, has allegedly been pictured, fueling expectations of an imminent launch.
The new chip is expected to have the same core counts and cache memory as the existing top Raptor Lake Refresh chip, the Core i9 14900K, but with a boost up to 6.2GHz.
The Core i9-14900KS is expected to come with a higher price tag, likely around $110 more than its predecessor, the Core i9 14900K, which has an MSRP of $589.
Despite the increased speed, experts question the real-world benefits of the 14900KS, as most modern games now run multiple intensive threads, and the slight clock speed bump is unlikely to make much difference in the fight with AMD's upcoming Ryzen 8000 CPUs.
Intel is expected to officially announce the Core i9-14900KS at the CES 2024 event.
