Intel Introduces Arc B580 and B570 GPUs, Targeting Budget Gaming Market

The new Battlemage GPUs promise enhanced performance, competitive pricing, and improved power efficiency for 1440p gaming.

The Arc B580, priced at $250, launches December 13, 2024, while the Arc B570, priced at $220, follows on January 16, 2025.
Both GPUs feature Intel's Xe 2 architecture, offering a 70% performance-per-core improvement and 50% better power efficiency compared to the previous generation.
Intel claims the B580 outperforms Nvidia's RTX 4060 by 10% in 1440p gaming and offers 24% higher performance than Intel's own A750 GPU.
The B580 includes 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit interface, while the B570 offers 10GB on a 160-bit interface, addressing the growing demand for higher VRAM in modern games.
Intel aims to position these GPUs as strong value options in the mid-tier market, though upcoming competition from Nvidia and AMD could challenge their appeal.
