Integra-Led Consortium Wins HoPE Hospital PPP With R$286 Million Annual Bid

The state projects R$50 million in yearly savings from the auction discount, enabling more elective surgeries.

Overview

  • The Integra-led Consórcio Saúde HoPE won the auction with a R$286 million per year proposal, narrowly beating Opy Healthcare’s R$287 million offer and delivering an estimated 12.8% discount.
  • Minas Gerais set a 30-year concession for a project initially budgeted at about R$2.4 billion, described by officials as Brazil’s largest hospital PPP.
  • The complex is planned for roughly 500 to 530 beds and will consolidate four Fhemig units, with 100 inpatient apartments allocated to SUS patients, according to state officials.
  • The private partner will handle construction, maintenance, administration, hotel services and supplies, and will run a diagnostic hub to process exams for the entire state public network while Fhemig oversees clinical care.
  • Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 on the former Hospital Galba Velloso site in Belo Horizonte, with completion targeted for 2029, according to the state health department.
