• The rollout begins immediately in the U.S., U.K., Australia and Canada with completion expected by year-end, and no launch date announced for Brazil.
• AI will classify posts against a PG-13 threshold and help detect teens who may have falsified their age.
• Teens will be blocked from following or being contacted by accounts that regularly share age-inappropriate material, including profiles that promote OnlyFans or openly advertise 18+ content.
• Posts with strong language, certain risky stunts, content encouraging harmful behaviors and marijuana paraphernalia will be hidden or not recommended, broader adult search terms will be blocked, and unsafe links in direct messages will not open for teens.
• An optional Content Limited setting removes the ability to see, leave or receive comments and will tighten teen interactions with AI next year.
