Overview
- Instagram, which announced the change Friday on its Threads account, now lets users edit their own comments for 15 minutes after posting.
- To make a change, users tap Edit under the comment, update the text, and hit a blue check to save, and the comment shows it was edited.
- The feature allows multiple edits within the 15-minute span, and it only works on comments written from the same account.
- The control applies to comments on feed posts and in Stories, extending Instagram’s move toward edit tools that began with DM edits in March 2024.
- Separately, Instagram is testing a paid Instagram Plus tier in a few markets with Story-focused perks such as longer-lasting posts and audience controls.
